Changes for the new and exciting 2011 TM Racing range are highlighted below.

4 stroke engines......

The big news on the 4 stroke models is that all competition 250cc and 450cc 4 stroke models will be fitted with the latest in Electronic Fuel Injection technolgy. The all new 250cc 4 stroke engine also receives a new chill casted cylinder head and new die-cast ignition and clutch covers, these new die cast covers are lighter in weight, increase heat dissipation and improve the aesthetics of the engine. New programming features in the ECU and this is complimented by minor revisions in the camshaft timing to give better performance. The 450cc 4 stroke engine has also been treated to some revisions and features an altered con-rod and piston pairing as well as a re-worked cylinder head and timing adjustments to compliment the new Efi system. All Efi system machines feature a conventional plastic fuel tank with the Fuel pump and neccessary filtration units mounted onto a removable base plate, as per normal MX and SMX machines will feature a black tank whilst EN models will feature an opaque tank for easy fuel level monitoring, all EN models have the addition of electric start whilst this is an optional extra on MX models.

2 stroke engines.....

For 2011 the 125cc, 144cc and 250cc models only receive minor changes to their powerplants, revised transfer timing, a new CDi program with different advance values and new carburettor settings combine to enhance their already class leading 2 stroke engines performance, all capacity models for both MX and EN feature their own different settings and in addition feature a small revision in the powervalve centrifugal drive mechanism to smooth its operation. The big news for 2011 in the 2 stroke department is the 300cc engine which has been treated to a new cylinder and cylinder head which features new transfer and exhaust port timing, a new combustion chamber shape and squish band measurements. A new kokusan Ignition features on all 2 stroke EN models with a built in lighting generator which eliminates the need for the ACG on the crankshaft, this increases throttle response and lessens engine vibration.

TM Racing 250cc MX

Chassis.......

For 2011 all full size models will recieve a new plastic colour change on the rear quarters, a new decal package and a new swinging arm design, to compliment the new swinging arm a new chain guide has been designed and fitted also, a new frame and engine plate protection system is fitted to some models and the 'factory' Brembo clutch master cylinder is now fitted to all models in the range, this increases clutch feel and reliability. New suspension settings have been tested, adapted and now implimented into the forks and shocks, spring rates, valving, oil compound and quantities have been tailored specifically to the model and it's application for both forks and shock, this has been designed to aid both the comfort and handling at a varying range of speeds, suspension settings for EN machines will of course be softer than the MX equivalent.

For 2011 the high specification quality components will remain as normal and will feature, Marzocchi Twin chamber forks, Ohlins shocks, Billet machined aluminium hubs laced to anodised Excel rims, Billet machined aluminium anodised triple clamps, Hydraulic clutches, HGS exhaust systems, Oversize taper bars fitted into machined aluminium anodised damped mountings, quality fixings and fastenings and of course hand finished and assembled engines.

Engines feature include:..billet machined crankshafts, billet machined con-rods, high quality forged pistons, high grade titanium valves, copper beryllium valve seats, V-Force reed blocks, downdraught fuel injection and hand finished castings for better matching and improved flow. It is the combination of these quality components and the care taken to finish and hand assemble these engines that allow all TM machines to perform at the highest level in production trim.
